Hikianalia Video Update | Oct 22, 2018: Catalina Island

  • Posted on 23 Oct 2018
  • In Hikianalia Updates, Photo Galleries, Teachers, Updates, Video Update

Aloha, today’s update comes to us from Hikianalia medical officer Michi Wong who is part of the leg three crew of the Ala Hula Kai o Maleka California Voyage. Crewmembers sailed from Redondo Beach, California to Santa Catalina Island to meet up with the members of the Tongva tribe who call this island by its indigenous name, Pimu.

After a quick tour of the island, crewmembers will head back to Dana Point on the mainland for a massive arrival celebration. Join us at the Ocean Institute on Tues, Oct 23 at 4pm, or check us out online at www.hokulea.com
