Join us for a day of Community Outreach in Lāhaina!When: 10a-1pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016
Where: Kamehameha Iki Park, 525 Front Street, Lāhaina
Waʻa Hikianalia, escort vessel Hoʻokela and the Worldwide Voyage ʻOhana Waʻa crew arrived in Lāhaina on January 3, 2016, under the leadership of ’76 crewmember Snake Ah Hee. ʻOhana Waʻa representatives from Maui Nui (Maui, Molokaʻi and Lanaʻi) and Oʻahu crewed the vessels.
Come explore education stations and activities hosted by Worldwide Voyage crewmembers, Maui ʻOhana Waʻa and Hui O Waʻa Kaulua, and other local environmental and education support organizations. Learn more about Moʻokiha O Piiʻlani, the newest voyaging canoe of ʻOhana Waʻa, and ways to support malama honua efforts in our local communities! This event is open to the public – no RSVP needed!
