Hui Mālama O Ke Kai (HMK) Hale Waʻa Workday
March 19, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation
Hui Mālama O Ke Kai (HMK) is hosting another wa’a workday. Mahalo nui loa to all of you who were able to join them in the past and HMK hopes you can join them again (or for the first time) at their site in Waimānalo to lend a helping hand in the work of their traditional Hawaiian canoe house on Saturday, March 19th from 8:00am to 2:00pm (or come when you can, leave when you need).
HMK asks that you please be sure to wear close-toed shoes and bring gloves and a reusable water bottle. Long pants are also recommended if you are interested in some of the dirtier work. As always, lunch will be provided so please RSVP directly to Kathy Morris (kathy(at)huimalamaokekai.org) or to the HMK website (www.huimalamaokekai.org) no later than Monday, March 14th with a count for your group so that they have an accurate head count for lunch. Also, children are welcome (with adult supervision) – and HMK asks that you let them know the ages so that appropriate jobs can be planned for them. HMK says mahalo nui loa for your time, assistance and aloha as they continue to build a traditional canoe house for Waimānalo.
