April Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive

Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives (AARD) provide opportunities for schools, families & community members to drop off a variety of goods for reuse and recycling – check out the Drive locations for April, stop by these schools to drop off your stuff on the following Saturdays from 9a-noon:
April 1: University Lab School (1776 University Avenue, Honolulu, 96816)
April 15: Lāʻie Elementary School (55-109 Kulanui Street, Laʻie, 96762)
April 29: Moanalua Elementary & Middle School (1289 Mahiole Street, Honolulu, 96819)
On the date listed next to their name, each schools will be collecting scrap metal (bicycles, large & small appliances, etc.), electronics (including computers, TVs, laptops, printer cartridges, cell phones, cameras, game systems, & more), batteries, clothing/household items, used household cooking oil, HI-5 beverage cans & bottles and more. Confidential documents will be collected in locked bins by Goodwill Hawaiʻi and shredded securely at their headquarters at Mapunapuna.
Proceeds from HI-5 containers, scrap metal and used cooking oil go directly to the host school.
The Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are coordinated by Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation as part of the 3R’s School Recycling Program and are made possible through sponsorship from Schnitzer Steel and support from more local recycling partners, including Pacific Biodiesel, Goodwill Hawaiʻi, T & N Computer Recycling, Interstate Batteries, RRR Recycling Services, Aloha Overstock, & Refrigerant Recycling.
