Kainalu, Moloka'i
PRIMARY DUTY:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Eric has worked for many years in marine conservation and he currently serves as the president of the Board of Directors of Sust’āinable Molokai. Eric first sailed on Hōkūleʻa in 2002 in Maunalua Bay. He sees living on a canoe as a great metaphor for our home; since the way we care for our place - be it the canoe, or our islands - is a direct reflection of how we care for each other.
To Eric, Hōkūleʻa is a movement for all who care for Hawai'i and call it home. He hopes that the Worldwide Voyage will inspire collective accountability towards our place to forge a healthier, more sustainable future.
