OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Originally from the East Coast, Daniel moved to American Samoa then Hawai'i where he got involved with PVS and first sailed on Hōkūleʻa in 2013. For him, Hōkūleʻa represents hope - that the wisdom of the past will guide us to a better future - and the strength to empower people to care for our Island Earth.
As a writer, Daniel hopes that the Worldwide Voyage will offer a platform for often voiceless communities around the world to communicate their stories of hope to a global audience. What Daniel loves most about sailing is the feeling of freedom and immense trust you place on yourself and your fellow crewmembers.
