Mālama Honua Fair & Summit

In celebration of Hōkūleʻa’s Homecoming after voyaging around Island Earth, Polynesian Voyaging Society invites our local and global community members to gather for a three-day summit to discuss mālama honua stories of hope inspired by the Worldwide Voyage and develop sail plans for the future of Hawaiʻi and our planet.

Hōkūleʻa Canoe Tours & Educational Exhibits


Daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Open to Public: Registration Required

The general public is invited to walk through exhibits, participate in hands-on activities, and learn from our local and global partners who are taking action to mālama honua.

Hōkūleʻa canoe tours will be offered every day, and capacity will be limited according to safety standards. If you would like to guarantee a visit to Hōkūleʻa, we encourage you to sign up for a scheduled time slot. Space is limited and we are expecting a high volume of visitors. There will be a general public line each day which does not require a ticket. However, we are not able to guarantee access to visit Hōkūleʻa for non-ticket holders.


Youth Summit

Polynesian Voyaging Society is collaborating with the World Youth Congress to host a Youth Summit for students ages 5 – 25. The Youth Summit will bring together local and global youth to celebrate mālama honua stories and create a collective call to action for the future stewardship of our Island Earth.

Invitations to education partners and youth-serving organizations coming soon. An invitation code will be required to register for this session. Limited scholarships are being made available through partner organizations. Please contact SummitInfo@pvshawaii.org for information on how to participate.

Promise Strategy Sessions

Invite Only: Invitations to be released soon

Local and global community leaders will be invited to attend a day of strategic meetings focused on the promises of the Worldwide Voyage: (1) Promise to Voyaging, (2) Promise to Children, (3) Promise to PaeʻĀina, and (4) Promise to Well-being (Health and Well-being).

The intended outcome of theses strategy sessions will be a collective effort to commit to future “sail plans” for voyaging, education, ocean and land conservation, and health and well-being in Hawaiʻi and worldwide. Invitations to community representatives coming soon. An invitation code will be required to register for this session.
