Hōkūleʻa Update | July 28, 2015

Aloha everyone, this is day 3 of our voyage from Ashmore Reef to Bali. This is Jenna Ishii from the Hōkūleʻa crew. We’re really excited today, as you can see, our sails are up, we broke tow, with the wind came back last night, it’s blowing in a good direction for us and everyone is doing really well, we didn’t see many marine debris or mammals yesterday like we did the day before but we’re starting to see a lot of ship traffic and signs that land is close. And so today the plan is, we’re shifting course a little bit sailing more with the wind and thinking that we’ll probably bump into an island called Sumbawa later on tonight. So we’re looking forward to exploring new horizons and seeing what we can find as we make our way to Bali, thanks so much for following us, keep tracking us on Hokulea.com, aloha.
