Hōkūleʻa Update | August 8, 2015

Hōkūleʻa crew are on stand-by in Bali due to ash from volcanic activity of Mount Raung.  Our sail plan is always shaped by weather and environment, with safety of the canoe and crew held as the highest priority.  Apprentice navigator Jenna Ishii shares an update of what the crew is doing in port to continue to prepare our waʻa for the next leg, and explains that patience and flexibility are part of voyaging.

Please help keep us sailing for future generations. All contributions make a difference for our voyage. Mahalo nui loa!
