Hōkūleʻa Nav Report | Mar 30, 2017: Morning Update
The search for Fatuhiva continues despite rough conditions at sea. Here’s Navigator, Kaleo Wong with a report from the deck Hōkūleʻa.

American English translation:
Aloha, here we are on our voyage to mālama honua. We are nearing the Marquesas islands. We think that we are very close to spotting land because we saw a lot of birds yesterday: the manuokū, the ʻewaʻewa, the ʻiwa, the ʻā, the koaʻe, as well as a whale, a dolphin, and many other fish. So we are on the hunt for land this morning. As you can see the crew is up on deck in search of the island Fatuhiva. You might also notice the wind is whipping and the surf is surging. This is the first day of this kind of weather. While it might look scary to most, for us voyagers this is pretty typical and we are use to it. That is my update for today. Thanks for following us on this journey.
