Cape Town Educators’ Meetup

November 21, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Event Navigation

Participate in “Waʻa (canoe) Talks,” a program that connects Hawaiʻiʻs teachers with global classrooms and communities focusing on Mālama Honua–caring for island Earth.

Navigated only by stars and other natural elements, the traditional Hawaiian voyaging canoe Hōkūleʻa is covering over 60,000 nautical miles, 100 ports, and 27 nations. As she sails around the world, her crew are discovering stories of hope from communities like yours so that we can share traditional and new technologies to solve challenges faced by our ocean and Earth. Come down to the Two Oceans Aquarium to connect with other educators about earth and ocean stewardship and education.
