2015 Student Energy Summit

November 7, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Event Navigation

Aloha PVS Education Network!

Are you a middle or high school teacher?  We just heard about the 2015 Student Energy Summit being hosted by Blue Planet Foundation, an amazing opportunity for students to learn and develop ways to mālama honua. Blue Planet Foundation is an amazing Hawaiʻi non-profit organization founded by WWV crewmember Henk Rogers that is focused on helping Hawaii achieve a goal of 100% clean energy.

The Student Energy Summit will bring together middle and high school students from across the state to learn about Hawaii’s current energy landscape and its opportunities for the future. Students will network and collaborate with like-minded peers from all islands, apply STEM knowledge to real-world challenges and explore innovative solutions to address today’s energy issues.

Summit registration is FREE for all students, and includes a light breakfast, lunch, and possible airfare assistance (for neighbor island students only). Unfortunately, hotel accommodations are not provided.  Each school can register up to 5 students for Oahu and up to 3 students for Neighbor Island schools.  Space is limited and will be first-come, first-serve.  For more information, contact francois@blueplanetfoundation.org.

Registration deadline is September 30, 2015.  Please see the flyer for more information.
