Life aboard Hōkūleʻa is unlike anything Dr. Thomas has experienced and he appreciates the way the canoe and her crew attune themselves to the subtle variations in nature while out at sea. The wonders of the voyage never cease to amaze him - from clear nights full of constellations to bright moons and bioluminescent organisms.
